For the Twelfth k-Night auction, 2010, Sir Brand deux Leons asked to sponsor two charitable donations of my scroll work. I gladly agreed - what a wonderful opportunity to make a positive impact, as well as find new projects! However, I was concerned that simply putting my name in the auction with a note that I would do a scroll would not be enough; there was no reason for anyone in An Tir to know me or my work, or to trust that the offered scroll would be a quality piece. Therefore, I created two small markers, IOU's, to be exemplars of the kind of product that would be created for the winning bid of the auction.

These markers are rather small, measuring 4"x6", or about the size of a large index card. One is celtic, the other is italian white vine, the better to show a range of ability and technique - from knotwork to miniatures to gold leafing. The latin quotes on each piece are meaningful only to me, and a mark of my sense of humor. :) The coin, an American quarter, is included to show a sense of scale.
